I’m Ángel Muñiz Piniella, alumni and ambassador for Europe from the Oceans & Lakes master programme. I finished Oceans & Lakes in 2012, and since then, I’ve been living and working in Belgium. I joined the programme as an Erasmus student from the University of Vigo, where I studied marine science.
I’m working as a Science Officer at European Marine Board, a European organisation gathering the most relevant marine research organisations (research performing, funders and university networks), providing recommendations towards policy on marine science.
Oceans & Lakes was key to sparkle my interest in science-policy interfaces; the knowledge I’ve gathered studying the programme is still helping me today.
I’m glad to help as much as I can to all the students finishing Oceans & Lakes and wanting to get involved in policy or science communication.
